When I met Yasmin and Sjoerd on their wedding day I was really excited about the day ahead. I was at one of my favourite venues, Palacette de Cazulas and Yasmin and Sjoerd were looking fantastic.
I absolutely love photographing all the preparations before the ceremony, and today was no exception. Yasmin’s wedding dress definitely had the wow factor. It was truly a unique piece, hand made within the family, stunning!
The ceremony was held in the gardens with incredible views. It was a lovely ceremony with friends and family surrounding the happy couple. Today’s wedding was a mix of cultures, Yasmin’s family comes from Iran and Sjoerd’s, Scandanavia, and there was to be a second wedding ceremony a traditional Persian ceremony, held in the house. The couple sat in front of a mirror and an array of candles and sweets. The atmosphere was fantastic! Words were spoken and sweets offered. Yasmin was showered with gifts and the wedding party cheered them on.
The guests relaxed with cocktails and champagne before they tucked into a scrumptious Spanish feast. The night was soon drawing in and it was time for the cake cutting. But not forgetting some traditional Persian knife dancing with the groom!
The Palacette de Cazulas lights up at night time and looks amazing. With candle lighting the tables and colored lights in the trees. The pool was a lit and waiting for the wedding party to start the evening dancing. But first Yasmin and Sjoerd made an entrance for their first dance. I left the wedding with the guests giving it their all on the dance floor.
It was a real pleasure to be part of this fantastic wedding and I wish Yasmin and Sjoerd all the best in their future!
