Getting married in Spain?
Should I have a welcome drinks and post wedding pool party for my wedding in Spain?
First you decide to have a destination wedding in Sunny Marbella, Malaga, Spain (great decision by the way!) but should you host a pre or post wedding party?
You might be wondering how to make the most of your wedding? How often do you have all your friends and family at the same time in a stunning destination like Marbella on such a happy event?
Should you put on a pre wedding event to host welcome drinks for all my guests before the big day?
Or perhaps you would prefer a post wedding bbq and pool party celebration?
Or go for both and celebrate the wedding over a few days! After all everyone has come all this way right?
Why not? It’s a great idea and certainly very popular when you choose a destination wedding in the sun. Some couples go for a three day event and also have a photographer to capture it all and in my experience its always a great idea.
By having a pre wedding welcome drinks the day before the wedding, or possibly 2 days before if you are worried about your guests having a sore head is a great way to meet all your guests and create your wedding celebrations buzz a little early. So many couples sometimes struggle to spend time with all their guests on the wedding day and can sometimes feel a little overwhelmed or pressured to spend that quality time sharing their day and a pre wedding event is the perfect solution.
Where can I have welcome drinks event in Marbella?
Marbella is full of a wide range of amazing venues. You are completely spoilt for choice when it comes to private hire of beach bars. The sunset over the Mediterranean is a great background for the start of your wedding celebrations.
Having a pre wedding party at perhaps a beach bar like La Plage Casanis IN Marbella is a lovely start to the celebrations. Who said wedding celebrations should only be for one day only? Indian weddings certainly are not.
Some venues offer an option to host a post wedding pool party like El Oceano or if you have chosen Tarifa in the stunning Costa de la Luz as your wedding destination Cortijo El Aguilon as it all. A gorgeous Andalusia Cortijo with plenty of grounds for an outdoor ceremony and al fresco dining. The pool area is just as lovely and the perfect wind down after a wedding celebration.
Haring a photographer to capture all the action is also the perfect opportunity to have some couples portraits. It certainly helps having a little portrait time with the photographer before the wedding as you will be more at ease for the main event, especially if perhaps your wedding venue is not frontline to the beach it is a great option to have some special couples portraits at sunset.
