It was a beautiful October morning with the sun shining and not a cloud in the sky when I set off for Ronda. I was a little nervous about the drive as I had been told it’s rather a scary one.
The roads are sinuous and steep, climbing up the stunning mountains and not for the faint hearted, however the drive was truly magical with breathtaking views. I was excited to reach my destination, and meeting Courtney and Meredith at the Lodge in Ronda.
Leaving their home in LA the ladies decided on an a Spanish wedding deep in the heart of the Serrania de Ronda mountains . With 2 brides and 11 guests this wedding was a very intimate and unique day and one I was really looking forward to documenting.
Arriving at the Lodge I was blown away at the beauty of the place, surrounded by stunning rolling countryside it is an elegant and luxurious venue. I love documenting all parts of the day, especially the preparation and today was going to be special as I had 2 brides getting ready for their wedding!
The ceremony was set in the gardens, overlooking the stunning landscape. Meredith and Courntey arrived together hand in hand looking fabulous. It was a simple ceremony that was full of emotion, each guest spoke in turn and their were tears all round.
What a truly fantastic group of friends and family with words from the heart and happiness for the couple it was a very special and unique blessing. And with only 2 male guests, a gorgeous little Ace and Coutney’s father surprising the brides in his traditional Spanish attire.
After the ceremony the guests celebrated sipping champagne on the terrace as the sunset over the mountains and the wedding party soaked up the atmosphere of this beautiful wedding day.
It was fantastic working with you all and hope you enjoy a few of my favourite images, best of luck for the future!
